PTC University Precision Learning
Enjoy FREE instructor-led hands-on training during the World Event!
PTC Customer Education will conduct 2-hour Precision Learning™ sessions focused on multiple topics covering Pro/ENGINEER, Windchill, Arbortext and Mathcad solutions. These instructor-led training classes will feature all aspects of the Precision Learning methodology. Classes will consist of lecture, demonstration and hands-on exercises. In addition, you will get access to a Pro/FICIENCY assessment to help determine areas of improvement.
Space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. New for 2009, you'll be able to reserve your seats in advance of the conference. Reservations become available after you register.
MCAD
Advanced Assembly Concepts with Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0
Come to this two-hour seminar to discover how you can quickly assemble components by creating and using saved and temporary Component Interfaces with the assembly dashboard tool. You will also learn about the various options for quickly replacing components with the new Replace Unrelated Component functionality and Interchange assemblies.
Mechanism Design using Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0
This two-hour seminar will teach you the basic process for designing mechanisms within Pro/ENGINEER. In addition, you’ll learn the how-to’s of assembing components using predefined mechanism connection sets, dragging a mechanism through its motion, and driving its motion using a servo motor. The session also covers evaluating the mechanism’s motion and checking for collisions.
Creating 3D Drawings using Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0
This two-hour seminar focuses on using annotation features to create 3D drawings in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire. Among the topics covered are creating and editing different types of annotation features, including dimensions and notes. You’ll also learn various techniques for managing annotations in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, including manipulation of annotation display and use of combined view states.
MathCAD Data Exchange and Analysis
In this two-hour seminar, you will learn how Mathcad enables the import and export of data to and from a worksheet in a variety of formats. Mathcad also supports the analysis of that data. Learn how to import and export data to and from Mathcad. Data analysis, including smoothing, regression, and interpolation will also be reviewed.
Windchill
Windchill PDMLink 9.0: Change Management
In this two-hour seminar, you will explore the out-of-the-box change management capabilities of Windchill PDMLink 9.0. The review will cover a fast-track change process, taking multiple roles while creating a change request, a change notice, and completing implementation tasks.
Windchill PDMLink 9.0: Application Orientation
This two-hour seminar will introduce the concepts, terms, features, and capabilities of Windchill PDMLink 9.0. From this session you will pick up the basic skills required to access and view information, such as logging on, accessing help, and locating and viewing product information.
ProductView
Visualization with ProductView MCAD Professional 9.1
This two-hour seminar is your opportunity to learn about ProductView’s use cases and its role in the Windchill Visualization Workflow. The presentation will provide all the basic skills you need to view, interrogate, and deconstruct a ProductView model, including selecting, searching, orienting, rendering, manipulating, and sectioning.
CoCreate
Modeling Concepts with CoCreate 16.0
This two-hour seminar is your introduction to CoCreate’s explicit approach to 3D design. Using the intuitive interface, you will learn how to work with parts and assemblies as well as gain some valuable design tips and best practices. Topics include working with imported data, reusing data, modifying 3D commands, and more.
CoCreate Modeling Extreme Techniques (CoMET)
In this two-hour seminar, experienced CoCreate users will delve deep into some advanced modeling techniques to help them improve their productivity. Users will learn how to work with families of parts, parametrics, and advanced mechanisms. Other topics include clipping planes, configurations, and Part Library. Attend this session if you want to learn how to take your Modeling design to the next level.
Arbortext
Introduction to Import/Export using Arbortext 5.3
In this two-hour seminar, you be introduced to the powerful capabilities of both the Export and Import features that come with Arbortext’s Import/Export. You will learn about the Import interface, and use it to create simple MapTemplates. You will learn how to use MapTemplates to convert proprietary formatted documents to XML. You will learn how to configure Export, and how to export XML documents to RTF using style properties defined in an Arbortext StylerSheet. |
