PTC/USER Bike Tour 2009
Tour Central Florida with PTC/USER, Sunday, June 7

Attention cyclists! If you are arriving early for the conference, we invite you to sign up for the third annual PTC/USER Bike Tour. We have increased the number of bikes available and can accommodate up to 75 riders in 2009!
This casual trip is appropriate for folks at most cycling levels, but you must be prepared to ride 20 miles in warm, humid and sometimes windy conditions. The West Orange Trail stretches 22 miles to the east from the bike shop, our starting point, and is perfect for all levels of riders. Casual riders can cruise five miles onto the trail and stop in downtown Winter Garden for lunch and shopping. History and railroad buffs may wish to explore two special museums there. Nature lovers can enjoy a scenic walk through a local preserve just one mile from the bike shop, or stop at one of several overlooks on Lake Apopka along the trail.
If you are a serious rider looking for a long ride, you can race along the entire trail as fast as you'd like. Be sure to make a pit stop in downtown Winter Garden to grab some lunch. For an even longer ride, you can connect to the nine mile Lake County rail trail by heading west from the bike shop.

The event fee (announced soon) includes your bike rental, helmet rental, one bottle of water, round-trip transportation between the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort and the bike shop, and a commemorative ride t-shirt. The total number of bikes is limited and reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will open in early 2009.
Ride schedule
• Depart from the hotel lobby at 8 am for Bikes and Blades Bike Shop.
• Be ready for group pictures around 9 am just prior to departure for the trail.
