2009 PTC/USER Presenter Terms and Conditions
By submitting one or more abstracts for consideration, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions in connection with the PTC/USER World Event noted on the abstract submission page:
1. Unless otherwise noted in writing, the paper, slides, talk, and any other materials you submit or use in connection with a proposed presentation at the Conference (collectively, the “Presentation Materials”) are your original work. You certify that the Presentation Materials do not include any material or information which you do not have the right and permission to use. Without limiting the foregoing sentence, you certify that the Presentation Materials do not include: the copyrighted matter of a third party, used without permission; the trademarks of a third party, used without permission; scandalous or indecent material, defamatory statements, or matter inconsistent with the purposes of the Conference.
2. In the unlikely event that a third party commences a lawsuit against PTC/USER as a result of the Presentation Materials, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold PTC/USER harmless in connection with such lawsuit.
3. PTC/USER is the sole arbiter of what is appropriate for presentation at the Conference. PTC/USER reserves the right to determine what Presentation Materials may be used, at any time, even after you have been told that you will be a presenter at the Conference.
4. PTC/USER intends to publish some or all of the Presentation Materials in connection with presentations to be given at the Conference. You agree that PTC/USER may publish the Presentation Materials (on paper, via digital media of any form, on radio or television, or over the Internet), including your presentation at the Conference, for use in connection with PTC/USER business, and consistent with the purposes of the Conference, without having to pay any royalties. Presenters may note their copyright claims on written portions of the Presentation Materials, and PTC/USER agrees that it will not remove or obscure any such legitimate claims.
5. You acknowledge and agree that presentation time slots are 45 minutes and that if you are selected to present, you shall present at least 35 minutes of material not including introduction and/or audience questions. You acknowledge and agree that failure to do so may make you ineligible to present at future World Event conferences. You acknowledge and agree to submit a presentation rough draft by Monday, March 23, 2009 for review, and the final version of your presentation by Monday, May 11, 2009. |
