n order to facilitate efficient and convenient electronic mail services, PTC/USER has established the following policies regarding the use of its electronic mail system, commonly known as the PTC/USER E-Mail Exploder ("Exploder").

PTC/USER Electronic Mail Policies

Participants are solely responsible for the content of their postings. Postings made through the Exploder do not necessarily represent the opinions of PTC/USER or its Board of Directors.
The Exploder is operated by PTC/USER, Inc. for the benefit of its members. Other eligible parties may participate on the Exploder provided that the participant complies with this policy in its entirety.
Persons having an interest in PTC software products are eligible to participate, except those persons who are employed by a direct competitor to PTC. This includes but is not limited to employees of EDS, Dassault Systems, SolidWorks and subsidiary companies.
Any eligible persons wishing to participate on the Exploder must subscribe their own e-mail address. Participation may be discontinued at any time by unsubscribing from the Exploder.
Any posting must be related to the topic of the board where the posting is made. Off-topic postings are not permitted; repeated off-topic postings are grounds for suspension and/or revocation of posting privileges.
Participants may not post messages that will harrass, defame, libel or otherwise cause injury or loss to PTC/USER, Inc., other subscribers or any other entities. Participants may not post messages containing obscene or vulgar language. Such postings are grounds for suspension and/or revocation of posting privileges.
The Exploder consists of multiple discussion groups or forums. Except for the forum entitled "network," participants are prohibited from posting messages of a commercial nature. Commercial messages include, but are not limited to, discussion of product pricing or availability, employment postings or similar information. Suppliers of hardware, software or services are specifically barred from posting messages to the Exploder about their products in any discussion forum except "network."
Persons violating this policy may permanently lose their privileges to participate on the Exploder. Flagrant and/or repeated violations of this policy by individuals or persons acting as agents for their companies may result in permanent exclusion from participation on the Exploder, the PTC/USER International Conference and/or other PTC/USER-operated activities.
Legal action may be taken against individuals or companies who attempt to disrupt operations of the Exploder or act in such a manner as to cause loss or injury to PTC/USER, Inc.
Use of the Exploder is at the risk of the participants. PTC/USER does not guarantee service availability and may suspend Exploder operations at any time without notice.
Enforcement decisions are made at the discretion of the PTC/USER webmaster.

We do our best to enforce our policies and use both humans as well as automated systems to monitor e-mail traffic.
